New Years Day

Since no one in the Miranda household stayed awake to ring in the new year, we had a mini morning party.

Kane helped me make ice cream cone blowers (is that what you call them?)

We also made a cupcake clock. I saw a similar idea on Pinterest, but they used cookies.

After our morning treats, we headed to my grandma's annual New Years Day party.

We always eat cabbage, black eyed-peas and corned beef in honor of our Irish roots.

New Years Eve

A few months before New Years Eve I started searching for tuxedo pajamas for Kane. I found the cutest pair at H&M for him to wear NYE 2011, but had zero luck for NYE 2012.

Luckily, Aunt Ashley went to H&M during her New York trip and found Kane a black velvet bow tie. I think his outfit turned out to be pretty cute!

Aunt Ashley also surprised Kane with a drum set. Such a blessed little boy!

Sporting his New Years hat while watching LuLu's Zumba workout DVD.

Kane and Aunt Ashley- they sure do love each other!

Cheers!

Aunt Ash and Mr. Greg- ready to go out for the evening.

New Years 2011

we were so lucky to have michael home on new years eve. we dressed kane up and enjoyed a perfect night at home. to be totally honest michael and i were asleep by 10:30. haha. crazy how things change after having a baby- but we wouldn't have it any other way!

such a squirt!

love him love him, love him!!!

this little blower actually taught him how to blow. he can now blow on his "hot" food.

i have had so many people ask if i really bought him a tux- lol no it's just pjs from h&m.

kane wouldn't wear the hat so i tried to show him it was cool enough for pony but he still said no.

he learned really fast how to take it apart

the back of the pjs- so cute!

michael and i made mint chocolate chip cookies

i had left over candy canes so i copied her and made kane's name

michael worked new years day so we weren't able to eat all the traditional foods to start off the year. my family always gets together new years day to eat black eyed peas for luck, cabbage for wealth and corn beef because we are irish. i can't say i missed the food but i did miss the company. we had every one eating seconds for us so i hope it will pay off.

kane's pancakes new years morning

and of course he sported his new years shirt

we are ready for great news and new beginnings in 2011!
