Calling All Mamas!

This is for all the moms out there- I have some questions. Keep in mind I am 1 month post delivery as you read and hopefully answer these ?s.

My weight has been at a stand still for 3 weeks. I lost all the weight I gained in one week minus 6 pounds that I still can't shed! How did you ladies get over the plateau? Will it go away once I stop breast feeding? LOL does each boob weigh 3 pounds? Wishful thinking I'm sure. Kinda like I was hoping I would have a 35 pound baby. I've heard people say it took 9 moths to gain the weight expect it to take 9 months to lose it... but I don't want to!! LOL

I was so lucky in my pregnancy that I never got stretch marks but I have this horrible dark long going from my naval down. When will it go away? Do I need to be putting anything on it to help? Its so gross looking!

I think I am still swollen bc my rings and shoes STILL don't fit. At what point do I need to throw the towel in and get new shoes and have my rings re-sized? Please say never.

And when did you guys introduce cereal into your babies diet? I've heard some moms do it as early as 6 weeks to help their little ones sleep through the night. Any suggestions?

You can leave a comment, email me at jik0309@aol.com or of course message me on fb.

Thank you!!

  2. I still havent lost all my weight yet! I think I lost it after I had her and I have slowly started gaining it back b/c I still eat like I am preggo lol! The dark line on your stomach will go away. Mine is pretty much gone and Adelynn is 7 months. It didnt start going away until a month ago. We didnt introduce cereal until 4 months. We have never given through a bottle though. Her pediatrician said she doesnt get anything out of that, she needs to learn to eat from a spoon etc. It wasnt easy introducing it but she loves it now! Im not sure about the swelling. Hope this helps!

  3. My baby weight fell off the first three months with breast feeding, so keep that up! After breastfeeding is the hard part; keeping the weight off! That’s where I fell off the band wagon, oops! Once you’re cleared from doc start walking that helps shed those last pounds. Also your body definitely changes in many ways after having a baby so keep that in mind too.

I did not get stretch marks on my tummy but every where else, well… The dark line fades away with time. It’s been almost 7 months since Caden was born and mine is almost gone.

Some days my ring fit just fine and other days they don’t, so I’m not sure with this one.

I started Caden on cereal at 4 months but I never put it in the bottle (doctors orders). I gave it to him with a spoon although at first it was really liquidly I thickened it as he got older. So introducing the spoon is the best. Plus it really jump starts the oral motor skills too. At almost 7 months Caden is a great spoon feeder (he will try to feed himself if I give him the spoon) and is even drinking from a sippy cup too!

    Love sharing mommy stories! xo

  7. I have a 2 yr old and a 12 wk old. i had c-sections both times so its a little harder to get ur belly back in shape. the line will go away with time . Be patient. its just been four wks. i still cannot wear my original clothes. the first pregnancy i did not start feeling comfortable till 6 months later. i gained the same amount of weight with this baby but in different areas. once you feel up to it. start doing a little excercise. get a baby jogger and walk/run outside. after the 1st pregnancy around 6 months we started spin classes! that will do it for sure. Don't worry yet. it will come off.

  8. The weight - I used Jillian Michaels workout DVD at 6 weeks or so and it ALL came off. The line fades. Mine is still there but you can hardly tell. I set a goal of waiting until 8 weeks before giving Kace cereal. Luckily, that was about the same time that he started sleeping through the night. I did start giving it him at 3 months, when he started sleeping 12 hours at night.
Good luck and enjoy this time!
