birthday bowling for dad

My brother and I recently celebrated what would have been my dad's 67th birthday. It's so weird to think he would have been 67. I always wonder what he would be like as he aged, I can not imagine him ever slowing down and getting older.

  

My brother came up with the idea to take all 6 kids bowling. It was a tad chaotic but SO much fun!

We got two lanes... one for the kids and one for the adults. My brother was rather impressed with my crazy bowling skills.

Kane was a bowling champ! He not only loved it but he creamed his cousins!

gymnastics performance

Kane and I went to my niece's gymnastics performance on Saturday. We were so excited to see everything that Kylie learned this year and spend time with my other nieces.

My brother is the BEST daddy to his girls! I am so proud of the dad he is.

volunteering at school

The other morning my brother called me in a panic... he signed up to volunteer for Kylie's class activity and could not make it. Kane and I had a hour to dress and make it there, but we did with a few minutes to spare!

Sweet Kylie was so surprised and happy to see us there! She immediately made room for Kane in her chair and they listened to her teacher's directions together.

My little boy jumped right in like he was a big 1st grader!

In the madness to get to her school in time, we did not have time to stop and grab her a hot lunch. Sweet girl still asked that we stay and sit next to her.

 Our impromptu trip turned out to be a lot of fun! I am so glad I am available to spend extra time with my nieces. Every extra minute is a huge blessing!

weekend wrap-up

We had a full weekend packed with lots of fun!

We kicked it off by taking Kylie her birthday lunch. 

Kane brought along his tractors and showed Kylie how they work.

Saturday night we met Lulu and Uncle Matt at P.F. Chang's for a delicious dinner. LuLu had just returned from a week in Paris, so it was great to see her.

Sunday morning we went to feed the ducks before heading out to Kylie's party.

This year Kylie asked for a house party with a giant water slide. My brother defiantly delivered with this bad boy!
