Bugs

Since we moved back to Texas, we have only had one movie/theme day. Have to admit, it was pretty lame. I'm hoping that since Kane's party is over and we are finished decorating our house, we can get back into the swing of things.

When we moved in, we had a small bug problem, Kane got used to seeing me catch them and thought it was pretty funny. So, for our first Texas theme day, I thought a bug day was fitting!

We stocked up on bug catchers and headed to the Bellaire Nature Center.

Before an official bug catcher collects bugs, he has to make sure his equipment is in proper working order.

Looks like he caught a big, yellow bug!

One must also wear the appropriate uniform. It's important that everyone know, you are a professional!

He found a giant bird, but couldn't figure out how to catch him.

Calling the bird..."tweet, tweet, tweet".

We had bug themed food planned for lunch, but I ate all the worms beforehand. oops!

That evening, Michael was on call, so Kane and I snuggled up on the couch and finished our day with A Bugs Life. Perfect bug filled day!
