Exciting News!

Today was my 36 week appointment and I am dilated 1 cm, his head is down and ready to go and I'm already effacing! My doctor told me not to get too excited, I can stay at 1 cm for a while but it just hit us like a ton of bricks that we will be parents SOON! We haven't been decorating his room just for kicks, we are actually having a baby! WOW! We are ready I suppose... his clothes, blankets, towels, sheets etc are washed and put away and bags are packed. Just need to check them one more time to make sure I have everything. I ordered him a bassinet and it will arrive friday according to UPS and a few last things from Etsy are on their way! But that's it! Not sure if I should laugh, cry or scream in excitement!

I got an evite from Lisa's (Michael's mom) friends and they are throwing her a baby shower! (Lisa is the first out of her group of friends to become a grandma.) How sweet is that? But shhhhh, it's a surprise. No worries, she doesn't look at the blog unless Ashley and I help her. Everybody is supposed to bring her a baby book so she can read to Kane when he goes over to her house. She has the largest, nicest and best friends I have ever seen. Such a special group! If only we were all that lucky to be that rich in friendships!

Yesterday, Ashley who is Michael's sister called me and told me she was in a bad wreck and they were calling calling an ambulance for her!! Knowing that Michael was in a lecture and could not make it I jumped in my car and made it to Washington and Allen Parkway in 20 minutes from Sugar Land at 4pm! I was so worried about her because she said she hit her head. She ended up telling the paramedics that she would not ride in an ambulance because no body was there with her! LOL typical Ashley! So once we all got to her we took her to a 24 Hour ER. They did a CT and it ended out being ok. She is just in some pain today. It is never a dull moment in the Miranda house!
