Monkeying Around

This past weekend we had a full schedule. We went to the zoo and walked around for a few hours. Kane loves to be out and about in his stroller. I had not been to the zoo in years so it was nice to revisit and have some family time.

Kane and I went to Abby's wedding shower while dad went to the Astros game. The shower was so much fun. They hired a belly dancer to show the bride and her maids how to belly dance. Kane was so in love! She had hand clappers that he was obsessed with. I wish I could find a pair because they entertained him for hours. He was the hit of the shower. I'm so lucky to be blessed with such a great baby.

Sunday we slept in and then went to the Raquet Club for Kane's first swim. He did not like it at first but he warmed up. I was so surprised because he is a little fish during his baths. Maybe he was a little self conscious because of the little girl sitting next to us!

This week we started our Catholic classes to have Kane baptised. I was shocked how many parents were in the class. The Deacon even made a joke about how full the class was. He wondered if Houston had a city wide power outage a year ago. I have ordered his outfit and can not wait to get it in! It is so adorable! I found some cute Christening shoes at a local store that have your babies initials on them. I hope they will fit Kane. I saw them when I was still pregnant so I can not remember what size the shoes come in. That is one thing about Kane- he has very long feet.

I got an email from Pottery Barn today telling me that Kane's chair cover is still on back order! I feel like I have been waiting forever for this thing forever! I did decide not to have them monogram it though. Since I'm kind of bored with their boy color options I'm going to at least have the font changed. I was thinking a cute kid font in green, yellow or maybe orange. They only have white or navy as options online.
