ideas.

I turned in pictures of Kane's nursery yesterday to designdazzle.com and it's going to be featured on their blog and website! I am so excited! Designing his room was a ton of fun and to be honest I was sad when the room was complete. Not because I didn't like how it turned out but because I had nothing else to design. Until now.... I have designed his NEXT room and I have ideas for baby #2. (that is if it is a girl) But for now a sweet friend has asked me to help her design her daughters room. Can not wait to get started!!!

Here is what I have picked out so far for Kane's toddler room

It is taking everything I have to not order this precious tent from Pottery Barn to go in his future room/play room

And look what I found on Etsy! They are kid plates- so cute! I will for sure be ordering Kane a couple

I just completed Kane's Valentine's Day cards. They are very plain because I figured I couldn't go too crazy since he is a boy. HA!
And the back side with his little foot print.

Eczema... Really?

I've officially played in my first "mom" game... bunco! LOL My sister-in-law hosted it at her house and invited me to sub. Despite my reservations it was REALLY fun! Most of the women there had older children but surprisingly it wasn't weird being the youngest. They were full of tips, advice and funny stories.

Saturday morning we had another play date. Christina and Caden came over to play. It was great seeing the kids interact and visit with another mama.

I took Kane to the dermatologist last week and what we thought was a heat rash has turned out to be eczema. Poor baby has it all over his torso. The doc gave us a RX but my hubs won't let us fill it bc it is a steroid. So we are sticking to a heavy cream and plain body wash. I hope this stuff clears away soon.

Love his little expression. Such a patient man waiting for the doc

My favorite little Valentine- love him to pieces!

I was shopping on Etsy the other day and found this:

Is it cute? I figured I could have it monogrammed too. The two tabs in front are to attach toys and there is a pocket in the back to put things. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions....

I leave you with a sleepy little guy trying to catch up on his zzzzzzz's.

Rebellious 3 Month Old

I have been trying to get Kane on a sleep schedule lately so I have been writing down his normal sleep patterns. After looking at the "sleep log" yesterday I laughed out loud. My child does NOT sleep during the day! He does very well at night but he likes to party all day. I guess it is good that he is a happy baby all day!

Here is his schedule:

9:40- 10:00
10:35- 11:08
1:55-2:10
2:35-2:45
2:46- 3:15
Then bedtime 8:00- 1:18 am...

Three Months Old!

My little man is 3 months old now! Wow the time has really flown by! Here are a few pics that I captured the other night. His gummie little smile warms my heart.

He was laughing in the picture. It was too cute for words!

How Cute is She?

Suri Cruise is adorable! I love that sweet little headband. What a precious little girl. Speaking of little girls, I think I got a little ahead of myself. I bought the prettiest little baby outfit for (hopefully) baby girl Miranda. I could not resist, but now I'm afraid I opened a can of worms. My impulse buy is going to turn into an impulse wardrobe with a baby girl nowhere in sight. Oh please give me the strength to return it OR maybe just the control to refrain from buying future things that are out of my control. I'm a freak, I know. LOL

Simple Pleasures

I'm going to follow along with simple things in my life that I enjoy-

I love...

- when Kane first wakes up and he stretches his arms out and curls his little legs up

- when he falls asleep in my arms

- shopping for him and finding the "perfect" thing (which happens to be pretty much everyday bc I can't stop buying for him!

- Kane's giggles (he has a new laugh and I can't get enough of it!)

- crawling into bed when I'm so cold I can hardly stand it

- Saturday mornings curled up with my hubby and baby boy

- decorating, creating, planning, and being organized (I'm freakishly organized)

- seeing Michael playing with our son

- having brother/sister time just talking

- being able to give...just because

- being with family

- a glass of white wine (when I can drink again...March 22,2009 and counting)

- remembering the day I got married/ when Kane was born

- the smell of a new car

- getting a sweet txt message from my hubby

- MOST IMPORTANTLY being and wife and mommy

Kane shopping with mommy at Hobby Lobby (one of my favorite stores!)

Laughing at daddy, no he wasn't naked just playing in his diaper... just can't tell bc his fat rolls cover it up! HA!

Doesn't seem to be enjoying "airplane" as much as his daddy

Lots of things going on in the land of Kane. For starters, in 3 weeks he has gained 2.9 pounds and has grown 1 1/2 inches. I know this because we had the honor of visiting the doctor. N0 sickness involved, which by the way surprises me because it seems like the cold bug has been knocking on everyones door. We went because my baby bug has a rash. At first we thought ecxema but no, we were wrong. Only a bad case of prickly heat rash. This babykins runs so hot I literally have to keep him naked. Which much to my disappointment he is not wearing the 156 cute outfits I have hanging in his closet. He is growing out of them so quickly, there are many things left behind, washed and never worn. BOO is what I say to that.

We went to a superbowl party and Kane was too cute for words! He loved watching the TV so we gave him a front row seat! He was the life of the party!

I wanted to get him a new mudpie football outfit but no store had it in yet. So we just settled with a blanket. Love their new line by the way!!!

Mr. K made his first apperance in the newspaper a few weeks ago. Not for anything he did but for what his G-pa did. The local paper ran a story about our LA trip and included a cute little pic of him screaming (how thoughtful of them huh?) So many cute pictures to pick from and they pick one of him throwing a fit because he was hungry.

In the meantime, babes and I had another playdate. Although this time it wasn't Kane sleeping through it, it was Mr. Warren. Warren is only a few weeks younger than Kane so I know they will be best buds.

I think K is starting to teeth. He can not keep his hands out of his mouth, he drools like a bulldog and sucks my shoulder until I'm drenched in his precious baby saliva. Dad and I have our seatbelts on and are preparing ourselves for sleepless nights and a cranky baby. I hope for all of us it won't be that bad.

Here he is playing peek-a-boo! Love it!

We have recently graduated him from baby baths with his sling to baby baths without it. We probably could have done this weeks ago instead of watching each buttcheek grow off the sides of the sling but we waited until he had a little better head control.

We took Kane to his first Gymboree play class this past weekend. Although he couldn't do much it was still fun. Once he can crawl he will enjoy crawling all over the toys.

I signed him up for swim lessons this summer. His LuLu has a pool so I want to get him as used to being around water as possible. It's so much fun seeing him grow and being able to do more with him. I can't wait for trips to the zoo and park!
